The EP-3264 module is an analog input module available with 4 input channels and 16-bit resolution per channel. This module is manufactured by GE Fanuc. It offers both module and channel diagnostic functionalities.
The EP-3264 input module is a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) module manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms. It is an analog input module that is available with 4 input channels and 16-bit resolution per channel as well as diagnostics functionalities. The EP-3264 input module can record up to 4 analog sensors with +/-5 Volts, 0 to 5 Volts, +/-10 Volts, 0 to 10 Volts, 1 to 5 Volts, 2 to 10 Volts, 0 to 20 milliamps, or 4 to 20 milliamps of power with maximum accuracy. Each plug-in connector can connect the sensors with 2-wire, 3-wire, or 3-wire plus FE (functional earth) technology. Each channel can have its own set of measurement range parameters. The input current path (IIN) supplies 25 milliamps of current to the input circuit of the input module, as well as 0.5 Amps per plug to the connected sensors. The system current path (ISYS) provides 8 milliamps of current to the communication section of the module.
The GE Fanuc EP-3264 analog input module is compatible with a wide range of Fieldbus network adapters, including Profibus, PROFINET IRT, EtherCAT, and Modbus TCP adapters. These network adapters can be accessed via a stand-alone web server application integrated with the RSTi-EP system bus to remotely diagnose the system and collect module status information. The input module offers diagnostics options that include module diagnostics and individual channel diagnostics. Its operating voltage range is 20.4 to 28.8 Volts, which is supplied via the system bus. To protect its inputs against voltage surges and overcurrent, the EP-3264 input module features reverse polarity and short-circuit protection. The response time of the protective circuit is less than 50 milliseconds. The input module’s optimal operating temperature range is between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius.
