The Analog Inputs from GE Fanuc are industrial analog input modules that are made to work with PLCs or programmable logic controllers in industrial applications. The Analog Inputs can operate with voltage or with current and they can support 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire connections. These input modules can be configured to meet the needs of specific applications in the PLC system. Their features can be enabled or disabled as needed, and the voltage and current values can be changed as needed. Most of the Analog Inputs are disabled by default, but they can be easily configured and activated by the users to suit the needs of their systems and applications. Some of the Analog Inputs are made specifically to handle diagnostics applications.
The GE Fanuc Analog Inputs are primarily used to record data from multiple analog sensors with resolutions of up to 16 bits per input channel. They can support 4 channels or 8 channels at a time. Each input channel is equipped with a status indicator LED to give the users updates about the status of the channel, and each channel is protected against overcurrent and voltage surges of less than +/-30 Volts. Note that voltages which exceed +/-30 Volts can severely damage or even destroy the Analog Inputs. The Analog Inputs will protect themselves from overcurrent by switching temporarily to the voltage operating mode when overcurrent situations occur. The Analog Inputs are active I/O modules, just like the Analog Outputs, the Digital Inputs, and the Digital Outputs, and up to 64 active I/O modules like these can be installed in 1 GE Fanuc RSTi-EP system at a time.
