The EP-8360 HD-Plug for GE RSTi-EP HD Modules is an accessory connection plug for the EP-3368 High-Density module. This HD plug kit has an operating voltage range of 20.4 to 28.8 Volt DC and a maximum current consumption rating of 1.0 Amps.
The GE Fanuc EP-8360 HD Plug for the GE RSTi-EP HD modules is an accessory connection plug for the GE Fanuc EP-3368 High-Density (HD) Module. The GE RSTTi-EP EP-3368 HD Module is not supplied with this HD plug unit, so it must be ordered separately from the GE Accessories catalog. The EP-8360 HD Plug is supplied in an accessory package consisting of 8 HD plugs. Each EP-3368 HD Module that uses these plugs has a connection frame that can support up to 4 EP-8360 HD connectors and an SAI cable (with a 0.14 to 0.35 mm2 cross-section) connected via an IDC (insulation displacement contact). The EP-8360 HD Plug supports this cable diameter with a maximum insulation diameter of 1 to 1.6 millimeters (0.04 to 0.06 inches). The EP-8360 HD Plug has a maximum current capacity of 1 Amps and it supports a 4-pole configuration.
When installing the EP-8360 HD Plug, a cross-section of the wire (22 to 26 AWG) and an outer wire (0.04 to 0.06 inches diameter) must be connected to the IDC (insulation displacement connector) using the following tools; a multi-stripax 6 by 16 wire stripping and cutting tool, and a pressing tool. It is also recommended that 2 HD connectors be connected into a single slot of the connector frame when using the EP-8360 High Density Plug. To install the plug, strip the insulation on all wires (approximately 20 millimeters) using the multi-stripax tool and insert all wires into the clamping unit of the connector. With the pressing tool, align all the wires properly within the HD connector and attach the wired connector into the EP-3368 Module’s connector frame. The EP-8360 HD Plug comes with an IP 20 ingress protection rating, and it has an operating temperature range between -20 and 60 degree Celsius.
