DVT LEGEND 554 NO LGT. Cognex Legend 554 Hi-Res SmartImage Sensor
The DVT 554 Camera is a machine vision sensor camera manufactured by Cognex Corporation, and it is made to detect and provide the users with information regarding the presence or absence of verification items, and it also handles code reading, flow detection, and the detection of the presence or absence of parts in a machine to ensure quality manufacturing. The DVT 554 Machine Vision Sensor Camera is rated 6 times higher in speed and resolution than the older DVT 515 model and it is a combination of the DSP processor and the CDC high resolution system. It measures 4.8 by 6.4 millimeters and it has 128 MB of RAM and 16 MB of flash memory with a resolution of 1028 by 1024. This device operates well in temperatures ranging between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius in an environment with non-condensing humidity. The shuttering exposure time ranges between 10 microseconds and 1 second with the IP/TCP connector protocol enabled.
The power supply required by the DVT 554 Machine Vision Sensor Camera is rated at 24 Volts DC and it is sold separately. The camera is both isolated and regulated and it has external ports for Ethernet communications that have capacity of 10/100 megabits and keyed 10-pin connectors. This is useful for tapping power from external power sources. This camera is powered by 5 Watts minimum power, equivalent to 200 milliamps of current, however, when an LED array is used, there should be an additional 30 Watts of power for each array. It has a strong output that can source up to 50 milliamps of current with an input PNP current sinking capability of 1.5 milliamps for the digital signals. It can allow a microcontroller to detect its output status.
