Technical Information

The DVT 550MR sensor is a high speed smart image sensor with a red light. It has been manufactured by Cognex DVT. This high speed sensor has 6x the processing speed of competing sensors. It offers grayscale CCD imaging at a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels. It is designed with a high speed DSP chip. This DVT sensor is popular in industrial automation applications because it ensures product quality, inspects the products, and gathers data. It produces a high resolution image where high levels of detail are needed. The front of the unit has the lens that is circled with a ray of light. The structure of the sensor is compact in size with dimensions of 112 x 60 x 30 millimeters. The DVT SLD sensor runs with a current of 300 milliamps and a voltage supply of 24 Volts DC. This CE certified sensor has electronic shuttering with between 10 us and 1 second of exposure time. 

 

The Cognex DVT 550MR high speed smart image sensor is equipped with an RJ 45 port for Ethernet communication and an RS 232 port for serial connection. The RJ 45 connector on the sensor has been designed to communicate with a PC running the Intellect software. The sensor is equipped with both RAM and Flash memory. The DVT SLD sensor has an LED indicator on the front that illuminates during the system boot process and when the sensor is working. This smart image sensor comes with a total of 8 I/O lines that are used to suit different application demands. The operating temperature for proper DVT sensor operation ranges between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius.
