Technical Information

The image sensor with the catalog number DVT 545M is made by Cognex and it is part of their DVT Legend series. The component is CE certified and it requires a 24 Volts DC rated power source with a current rating of 300 milliamps. The electronic shuttering of the sensor has 10 microseconds to 1 second of exposure time and the optics are standard optics with the CS mounting option. The sensor is also compatible with C mounting with the use of an optional adapter. The DVT 545M sensor is a no-light/high-speed type of sensor that comes with SmartImage capabilities. This DVT Cognex Legend sensor supports 8 digital inputs and outputs, NPN inputs, PNP outputs, and active high signals.

 

The Cognex DVT 545M sensor is easily installed and it mounts easily with the 4 M4 threaded holes that are located on the back of the unit. The depth of the threaded holes is 7.9 millimeters. The approximate size of such a sensor is 112 x 60 x 30 millimeters (4.4 x 2.3 x 1.1 inches) and its weight is around 170 grams (0.3 pounds). The DVT 545M sensor allows for a maximum operating temperature of 50 degrees Celsius or 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The lowest allowed operating temperature is 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). The DVT 545M sensor has external ports that include the keyed 10-pin RJ-45 connector and the RJ-45 port for 10/100-megabit Ethernet communications. The sensor has a typical display resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. This high-speed sensor has a grayscale CCD that provides great capabilities in regard to device and product inspection.
