The DVT 545CW sensor is a Cognex DVT manufactured smart image sensor. It is a no-light color graphics high-speed sensor that is used in modern industrial automation applications. It belongs to the vision sensor family. This no-light sensor produces high-resolution images. It is used for applications that demand a high level of image detail. It generates an image with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 in grayscale. The smart image sensor produces images that are an array of pixels. The DVT 545CW sensor is used mostly for reading codes and taking measurements automatically. It gives precise measurements of objects and it is easy to use. Once set up, it requires no further intervention. It offers reliable Ethernet communications by using an RJ 45 port and an RS 232 port that are located on the bottom of the sensor. The smart image sensor is CE certified.
The DVT 545CW sensor is a sensitive element and it should not be exposed to EMC noise and sources of heat generation. The environmental temperature should be in the 0 to 45 degrees Celsius range for normal operation. The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 50 degrees Celsius. The DVT 545CW sensor comes with the bundled Framework software that helps to inspect part presence and absence, positioning, and different programming tools. The smart image sensor can be easily mounted by using the threaded M4 holes on the bottom part. The DVT 545CW sensor requires a voltage supply rated at 24 Volts DC and it has a current rating of 210 milliamps. This image sensor has a compact design with dimensions of 112 x 60 x 30 millimeters.
