Technical Information

The DVT 544MR sensor is a Legend 550 series smart image sensor. It operates at high speed and it comes with a light. This image sensor comes packaged as a small unit with 4 M4 threaded holes on the back side for mounting. The bottom part has the networking ports. The sensor comes with an RJ 45 port for Ethernet connections. An RS 232 port is present next to the Ethernet port that can be used for serial connections. It is used to connect to the DVT breakout board with a display cable. The smart image sensor is powered with a 24 Volts DC power source and a current of 1.25 milliamps. The DVT 544MR sensor has an LED status indicator on the back side. The sensor produces an image with 640 x 480 pixels of resolution. These LEDs illuminate when power is supplied to the sensor. The smart image sensor helps to maintain quality control in manufacturing, data gathering and processing, and in passing information to all the connected devices.

 

The Legend 550 DVT 544MR series smart image sensor can be connected to a personal computer with the Windows operating system for testing and programming purposes. The computer uses the DVT intellect software. When connected, the software shows the status of the camera, the IP address that is assigned to it, and other different information. The DVT camera comes with 64 MB of RAM and 16 MB of storage memory for storing the firmware and the instruction data. This CE certified sensor meets different industrial standards and ratings for global operation. The DVT 544MR sensor has no IP protection rating. The installation environment should be relatively humid with no condensation and with a room temperature between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius.
