Technical Information

The DVT 544CW camera is a DVT Cognex manufactured camera. This Legend series camera is used with enterprise-level applications in different industries to measure and check the quality of the manufacturing, gather product information, and find defects. The camera is connected to the breakout board and it is equipped with a vision sensor with a half-inch CCD that produces a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. The Cognex camera functions as a machine's eyes. It uses a 2 dimensional plate and it looks for changes in the contrast. The vision tool helps the camera to evaluate changes and process them according to the rules defined by the users. The DVT 544CW camera is a Cognex 500 series product and it uses a high-speed DSP chip for image processing.

 

The DVT 544CW camera  is flexible. The lens can be replaced if necessary. The camera has  dimensions of 112 x 60 x 30 millimeters without any extra accessories. It makes use of the M4 mounting holes on the back side for installation. The DVT 544CW camera uses a 24 Volts DC power supply from the breakout board. It has a current rating of 1.2 milliamps. The bottom of the unit has a keyed 10-pin RJ 45 connector for power and digital I/O, and another port for 10/100 megabit Ethernet communication. It has 16 MB of flash memory and 64 MB of RAM. It has an output rating of 50 milliamps. The DVT 544CW camera features 8 configurable input and outputs. The inputs are NPN current sinking inputs and the outputs are PNP current sourcing outputs.
