DVT LEGEND Cognex 542 NO LGT. Cognex Legend 542 SmartImage Sensor
Manufactured by Cognex Corporation, the DVT 542 camera is a Series 500 machine vision sensor camera that has the technical capacity to detect products and supply information about the presence or absence of parts, and to collect and evaluate data depending on user defined rules. Its dimensions are a ⅓-inch 4.8 by 3.6 CCD lens format and it has 640 by 480 resolution as well as RAM and Flash memory capacities of 64 MB and 16 MB, respectively. The DVT 542 camera operates with CS mount standards optics and with a separate adapter that can be linked. It requires a 24 Volts DC power supply that is isolated and sold separately. The current must be at least 300 milliamps, which is equivalent to 7.5 Watts. Whenever it is running an LED array, an additional 30 Watts is needed to power the device.
The DVT 542 machine vision sensor camera has a partial image window that can be remotely sensed that helps it to compare and contrast images and their characteristics. This performance is non-supervised. It has a current sinking input rated at 1.5 milliamps, 8 ports that are set up for PNP output sourcing to a maximum of 50 milliamps, meaning that its digital I/O support 24 Volts DC. It has the OCR/OCV capability to read characters in 1D and 2D codes, making it the only industrial machine vision sensor that can read data using CCD precision. It can perform optical character recognition, verification, and grading functions. The operating temperature for the DVT 542 camera ranges from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. It can reclaim the Flash memory automatically.
