DVT LEGEND 520MR Cognex RED LGT. Note: Legend 520 SmartImage Sensor CMOS
The DVT 520MR sensor is a SmartImage sensor designed for industrial applications including defect detection, OCR, positioning, and precise measurement applications. The sensor comes with FrameWork software from DVT for setting up the required inspections. The 640 x 480 resolution offered by the CMOS device on the sensor makes it an excellent option for basic sensor applications. The sensor supports electronic shuttering and allows for configurable exposure times ranging from 10 microseconds to 1 second. The DVT 520MR SmartImage sensor supports rolling or global shuttering. Rolling shuttering is only recommended for indexed applications. The sensor is compatible with both CS mounting and C mounting. However, the C mounting requires an additional adapter which needs to be purchased separately.
The external ports provided on the DVT 520MR SmartImage sensor include the 10-pin RJ-45 connector for power and digital I/O connections and a RJ-45 connector for Ethernet connections. DVT recommends that the users use the DVT digital I/O and power cable for connecting to the 10-pin RJ-45 port. Eight configurable I/O are provided through the keyed RJ-45 power port which can be configured as either inputs or as outputs. The FrameWork software is supplied with the DVT 520MR and it can be configured to set up inspections according to the user requirements. The software can be installed on a Pentium class PC that is running Windows 2000 and it communicates with the sensor over the Ethernet. Industrial inspections which can be established through the combination of the DVT 520MR SmartImage sensor and the FrameWork software include positioning detection, defect detection, OCR, and the detection of the absence or presence of parts. The sensor is certified by the CE standards.
