DVT LEGEND 520 NO LGT. Cognex Legend 520 SmartImage Sensor CMOS
The Cognex Legend 520 Smart Image Sensor that is also known as the DVT 520 Smart Image Sensor is manufactured by Cognex Corporation to be used as an industrial machine camera sensor. This camera supports high-speed with up to 6 times higher speed than the basic Cognex 515 modules have. It is configured to read and verify barcodes and matrix codes without guidance, and it supports high throughput by the simultaneous reading of several codes. It can compare values to the set values from the output process interface, and it can read 2D and 1D codes. The resolution of the DVT 520 Smart Image Sensor is 640 x 480 with a CCD lens with dimensions of 4.8 x 3.6 millimeters. Its RAM capacity is 128 MB and it has a flash memory capacity of 16 MB.
Most of the data for the Cognex DVT 520 Smart Image Sensor is stored in the RAM and the data can be transferred at very high speeds. The PC and IP devices connected to the sensor communicate through the IP/TCP protocol that is based on the identification of networking elements by special numbers called the IP address. For the DVT 520 Smart Image Sensor to communicate with another device, they must both be in the same subnetwork and use the same LAN with a unique IP. This sensor comes with a pre-populated default IP address which must be matched to numbers that are compatible with the PC and the LAN. The FOV balance, triggers source, and background script are the main system parameters for the DVT 520 Smart Image Sensor’s inspection process.
