Technical Information

The DVT 510M camera is a smart camera sensor based on CMOS technology. It is a grayscale camera that offers a 640 x 480 resolution. The DVT 510M camera sensor is designed for machine vision applications where defect detection, reading codes, and taking measurements is required. Information acquired by the camera can take the form of device-level data that is sent to PLCs or process-level statistical process control data. The FrameWork software which accompanies the camera can be used to automate these tasks. The DVT 510M camera sensor belongs to the Legend series which includes the 500 series of standard and high-resolution camera systems and other advanced systems. The DVT 510M camera sensor supports electronic shuttering which allows for 10 microseconds to 1 second of exposure time.

The dimensions of the DVT 510M camera sensor are 4.4 x 2.3 x 1.2 inches. An additional 1.96 inches needs to be added to the 4.4-inch section for cable clearance. Without the lens, the camera weighs 6 ounces. The power requirement of the camera is 5 Watts. The rated input voltage and current for the DVT 510M camera sensor are 24 Volts DC and 210 milliamps, respectively. The temperature of the air around an operating DVT 510M camera sensor should be maintained between 32 and 113 degrees Fahrenheit. For mounting, 4 holes that each have a depth of 7.9 millimeters are provided on the camera. The threaded holes are M4 holes. Two Ethernet ports are available on the camera, and 1 port is a 10/100 Mbps network interface and the other is a 10-pin RJ 45 connector for power and digital I/O connections.
