Technical Information

The DVT Legend 510 sensor that is referred to as the DVT 510 sensor is a product of Cognex Corporation and it is a machine vision sensor camera. It is similar in functionality to the DVT 515 sensor except that it delivers more precision with CCD technology, its parts are more detailed, and it has 1.5x the processing speeds of the DVT 515. The DVT 510 sensor has a software setup that enables it to conduct inspections on the absence or presence of parts, to detect defects, to detect device positioning, and to take precise measurement. Defect detection is an automated visual process which is applicable in various fields such as ceramics and textiles-related applications. It has precise measurement features and scalable code reader options of 1D and  2D code reading for grayscale images in monochromes systems. Additional programmable tools are available that are adjustable to suit the end users’ needs.

The resolution of the DVT 510 sensor is 640 x 480 with the CCD lens format and the dimensions are 4.8 x 3.6 millimeters and ¼ inch minimum. The available RAM that is able to process the data retrieved from storage has a capacity of 64 MBs and there is also a total of 16 MBs of Flash memory that can store data safely in the case of a power loss or power surge. The amount of memory that is available in the sensor enables it to store a large variety of programs and tools. The end users can make use of the product management feature to check the amount of free flash memory left in the DVT 510 sensor. This feature is located in the product menu and the flash memory can be reclaimed automatically. The Intellect software supported by the DVT 510 sensor requires a minimum of 100 megabits of storage.
