Beijer Electronics engineered and constructed the x2-extreme-7, a rugged HMI device aligned to the X2 Extreme series panel. This HMI series is designed to survive harsh circumstances such as extreme temperatures, high humidity, vibrations, and dust. They often feature high IP ratings (IP65 or above) for water and dust ingress protection, making them appropriate for usage in industries like oil and gas, mining, transportation, and manufacturing. The x2-extreme-7 has a 7-inch diagonal screen HMI with a TFT-LCD display and an 800 x 480-pixel resolution. It includes an iX runtime that allows operators to design and run HMI applications without requiring a PC. However, it can be connected to a PC through USB or Ethernet. The HMI is often built to meet or exceed industry standards for environmental ratings, such as NEMA and UL certifications, and it employs an IP66-protected NEMA/UL type 4X/ 12 rated sealing front enclosure and an IP20-protected sealing back housing. It can operate at temperatures ranging from -30°C to 70°C. This HMI unit includes Ethernet connectors for connecting to PLCs and other devices, USB ports for peripheral access, and serial ports for older systems. Furthermore, it consists of an LED backlight with a rated brightness of 500 cd/m2 and a life period of 50000 hours. This module has an 800-megahertz (MHz) CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a FLASH memory of 2GB SSD (eMMC), 1.5GB of which is free for application. The X2-extreme-7 is easy to use, with a simple and intuitive user interface, and can be adjusted to satisfy a wide range of application requirements. It also has an easy-to-use and dependable HMI for your industrial application.
