Allen-Bradley developed the VPL-B0633M-PJ12AA servo motor, originating in the Kinetix VP line of low-inertia motors. The VPL-B0633M-PJ12AA is a low-inertia permanent magnet rotary servo motor. The motor's frame size is 63 mm, and its rated operating speed is 6000 rev/min. The feedback encoder on the motor is a multi-turn absolute encoder with an 18-bit resolution. The shaft keyed VPL-B0633M-PJ12AA motor connects through a single SpeedTech DIN connector. The connector is a right-angle connector with a rotation range of 325 degrees. There is no brake mechanism, and the motor can be attached using the free mounting holes on the mounting flange. To extend the motor's life, it is recommended that a drip loop be formed in the wires to transfer liquids away from the motor connections. The protective shields would be supplied for the shafts and connectors to prevent liquid damage.
