The Allen Bradley 2098-DSD-020 is a cutting-edge member of the Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive family, meticulously engineered for high-precision motion control in industrial settings. With a robust power output of a maximum of 2 kW at 230 VAC and 1 kW at 115 VAC, it empowers your machinery to operate with the utmost accuracy and efficiency. This servo drive is designed to handle standard input power ranging from 100 to 240 Volts AC, making it adaptable to various voltage supply scenarios. The drive doesn't support indexing, but its communication capabilities more than compensate for this. In terms of connectivity, the 2098-DSD-020 offers versatile options. It features SERCOS communication with rates of 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps and node addresses ranging from 01 to 99. Additionally, it supports DeviceNet (option) with various data rates (125, 250, and 500 kps) and auto-baud, along with node addresses from 00 to 63. The drive can handle messaging tasks such as Explicit, Polled I/O, Change of State, and Cyclic Messaging. For serial communication, the drive includes one RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 port with communication rates ranging from 1200 to 38,400 bps. It boasts eight optically isolated digital inputs (12–24 Volts, active high, current sinking) and four optically isolated digital outputs (12–24V, active high, current sourcing), enhancing its versatility. Analog inputs are a strong suit of the 2098-DSD-020, featuring 14-bit A/D for ±10 Volts and 10-bit A/D for 0 to 10 Volts input modes. The analog output supports ±10 Volts with 8 bits and a 2 mA maximum output current. It offers input modes like A quad B, Step/Direction, and CW/CCW.
