The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-010X-DN is an Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive Module that accurately controls various industrial servo motors. This lightweight module, at only 2.1 kilos (4.6 lbs. ), features great performance in a space-saving design, measuring just 98.1 mm x 32.77 mm x 65.02 mm. It can operate reliably between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius (32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit), and it can be stored between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius (-40 and 158 degrees Fahrenheit), making it suitable for use in a wide variety of commercial settings. Consistent performance is maintained despite exposure to a wide range of relative humidities (from 5% to 95% without condensation). An operational shock tolerance of 15 g (3 pulses, 11 ms) and a non-operating shock tolerance of 30 g (3 pulses, 11 ms) show that this module can withstand significant mechanical stress without failing. This servo drive module has many useful features, such as eight digital inputs that may be used immediately, four current sources that can be used independently, and a relay output capable of discharging up to 30 volts DC at 1 amp peak. It can accept power from a wide variety of sources, and its input rating of 9A (with 100 A current spike) and compatibility with 100-240V AC (single-phase) at 47-63Hz mean that it can handle a lot of power. In particular, its output rating of 15A (intermittent) and maximum output power of 1 kW at 230V AC demonstrate its accuracy in driving industrial servo systems.
