The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN servo motor is an Allen-Bradley TLY and TL series low-inertia permanent magnet servo motor. This low-inertia servo motor comes with a built-in holding brake that operates at 24V DC. The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN motor itself operates at 230V AC. This servo motor’s permanent magnets are installed in a 3-inch stack inside it. The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN motor’s leads have circular connectors that are made of plastic, and these leads are 1 meter or 39 inches long. For feedback, the TLY-A230T-HJ64AN servo motor has an incremental encoder. This incremental encoder is a 2000-line type of incremental encoder. The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN motor’s enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP65 if an optional shaft seal is installed on its shaft and if its cables have connectors that are environmentally sealed. To maintain the IP65 ingress protection rating, users must replace the shaft seal regularly. Without a shaft seal, the TLY-A230T-HJ64AN motor’s maximum ingress protection rating is IP53, and this protection rating is achieved when the motor is installed with the shaft pointing downwards. The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN motor is protected from dust and spraying water with an IP53 ingress protection rating. The motor’s shaft and shaft key are made of carbon steel. The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN servo motor can operate at rated speeds of 6000 RPM. This motor has onboard memory that maintains its identity, and the motor can report its identity automatically to a drive through serial communication. The TLY-A230T-HJ64AN servo motor’s holding brake is not a safety device and is not designed to stop the motor’s shaft when it is rotating. The holding brake is designed to hold the motor’s shaft at 0 RPM after the shaft has come to a stop.
