The Allen-Bradley 1783-MS10T base switch is a 10-port Ethernet managed switch from the Stratix managed switch series. Its 10 ports include 8 Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Gigabit ports. It enables effective network management. The 1783-MS10T base switch is classified as a Layer 2 Stratix switch. The 1783-MS10T base switch can support a variety of expansion modules. It simplifies Ethernet network management for the industrial system that hosts it. The 1783-MS10T switch consumes 15.7 Watts of power (excluding expansion module power). The switch’s power dissipation rating is also 15.7 Watts. The 1783-MS10T base switch supports an RJ 45 connector. Its maximum inrush current rating is 2 Amps. The housing of the 1783-MS10T switch is open and its ingress protection rating is IP 20. The 1783-MS10T base switch can withstand 20 g of shock and 2 g of vibration when it operates. This switch can also withstand up to 30 g of shock when it is not operating. Its power input rating is 2 Amps maximum at 18 to 60 Volts DC. The 1783-MS10T base switch meets the T4 ATEX temperature code and the T4 North American temperature code. This switch requires 0.23 N-m of screw torque for the alarm and power terminals and 0.96 N-m of screw torque for the ground terminals. The 1783-MS10T switch’s continuous isolation voltage rating is 75 Volts with basic insulation from power to ground, power to alarm, and power to the network channels. The 1783-MS10T switch does not support isolation between its individual Ethernet ports or between the console port and system.
