The Allen-Bradley 150-F317NBD is a Soft-Starter, or SMC Flex Smart Motor controller, built for commercial and industrial use. In conjunction with a 3-phase motor, it is designed to minimize power loss during start-up and shut-down. Features such as Soft Start, Full Voltage Start, Smart Motor Braking, Current Limit Start, Dual Ramp Start, Accu-Stop, Selectable Kickstart, Pump Start, Slow Speed with Braking, Coast-to-rest, Preset Slow Speed, Linear Speed Acceleration (Tachometer required), Soft Stop, and Pump Stop are just some of the options available. Compressors, chillers, pumps, conveyors, and crushers are just some of the many industrial machinery that may benefit from this controller. It has an open design, runs on line current between 200 and 460 volts AC in 3 phases at 50 or 60 hertz, and needs a control current of 5 to 480 amperes at 100 to 240 volts ac. It guarantees effective motor performance with a maximum continuous output current of 317 Amps and 250 HP output power at 460VAC rated voltage. The 150-F317NBD is easy to set up and keep an eye on thanks to its built-in backlit LCD display. Four completely programmable connections provide additional input and output channels for a wide range of indicators and communications. Essential characteristics such as current, voltage, kilowatt-hours (kWh), megawatt-hours (MW), milliseconds (ms), power factor, and motor thermal capacity are all metered by this intelligent motor controller. It excels in a number of motor start modes, but the most frequent is the gentle start, which increases output voltage gradually during acceleration.
