Other Available Revisions for the 1747-m5 1747-m5//A
The 1747-M5 is an adaptor socket from Allen-Bradley. The 1747-M5 has a 32 KB EEPROM capacity which is capable of holding 4K instructions which can be done by using a maximum of 64K words. The 1747-M5 can be used for backup by using the adaptor module to accommodate flash memory. The adaptor module can comfortably accommodate a program scan time of 0.9 milliseconds. When scanning the Input/Output, it takes 0.23 milliseconds to complete the process. The 1747-M5 is compatible with the 1747-L514 and 1747-L511 processors in the SLC 5/01 and Programmable Logic Controllers.
The adaptor socket of the 1747-M5 can use the RS-232 ports and Ethernet ports for communication. Its socket accommodates 30 module slots in the chassis. The slots can be used to introduce other extra devices. When programming the programing logic controllers, the 1747-M5 adaptor module is used to hold and insert the EEPROM modules to the programming the devices. When programing the PLC, the 1747-M5 is one among other EEPROM adapter modules that can be used. To ensure that the programming is effective, make sure the memory module, the adaptor socket, and the programming device are seamlessly fitted together.
Programmable Logic Controllers are used to control devices by controlling the inputs and outputs in plant machinery. All the controlling programs are stored in memory modules which may be EEPROM or RAM (capacitor-backed). To avoid damage and injury to personnel, the 1747-M5 must be handled and operated using the recommended standards. The 1747-M5 adaptor socket draws a current of 1A from the backplane at 5V DC and at 24V DC and it draws a current of 175mA.
