The 1746SC-INO4VI from Allen-Bradley and Spectrum Controls is a 4-channel isolated analog output module with adjustable voltage and currents, and it is intended for use with Allen-Bradley's SLC 500 lines of programmable controllers. The 1746SC-INO4VI can control a wide range of analog devices, including actuators, valves, and motors. It's also utilized to send analog signals to data acquisition systems and other process control devices. When attached without an external power source, the module has a backplane current consumption of 120 mA (milliamps) at 5 volts DC and 250 mA at 24 Volts DC. When attaching the module, users must choose the power supply source. It can dissipate up to 5 Watts of heat. This switch is positioned in the module's circuit board's bottom corner. When the switch is in the rack position, the module draws power from the system's backplane; when it is in the position, it draws power from the external power source. The switch module is ESD sensitive and must be handled in accordance with ESD protection rules. The module must be installed with the system power switched off, and users can refer to the manufacturer's troubleshooting material for extra assistance. The users can get assistance from the local technical support center. This output module is susceptible to electrostatic discharge; hence it is critical to avoid any discharge to protect the equipment. The working temperature of the module is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 °F), and the storage temperature is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 °F) with a relative humidity of 5 to 95% (non-condensing).
