Other Available Revisions for the 1746-RT28 1746-RT28//A
The 1746-RT28 is a Removable Terminal Block (RTB). It’s used with high resolution input modules including the 1746-NI4, the 1746-NIO4I, and the 1746-NIO4V. These modules are ideally used in process control applications that monitor variables such a temperature and flow. This module is also a perfect option when dealing with the analog input modules 1746-FIO4I and 1746-FIO4V, modules which are suitable for high speed applications whose analog signals change more often. These high speed applications control variables such as pressure and positioning.
The 1746-RT28 belongs to the SLC 500 series of programmable controllers. It has 4 I/O points and 12 gold plated contacts; gold is almost immune to oxidation, increasing the lifespan of this unit and reducing the chances of equipment faults.
The 1746-RT28 draws a backplane current of 215 mA at 5 Volts and should be mounted on the 1746 chassis. It operates at a temperature between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius, should be stored at temperatures between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius and performs optimally in environments with a non-condensing humidity of between 5 and 95%. It measures 5.5 x 3.6 x 5.7 inches and can accommodate a maximum of 4 I/O units. It has 3 separating walls in each connector to reduce shorting possibilities when wiring and has two screws to help hold it in place inside the 1746 chassis. The color band on the face of this module prevents miss-matching of the terminal block and its corresponding I/O module.
