The Allen-Bradley 1746-RT25B is a removable terminal block for use with DC input/ output modules. It is blue in color and used for general-purpose applications. The 1746-RT25B is used with the 1746-IC16, 1746-IB16, 1746-ITB16, 1746-IH16, 1746- OG16, 1746- IG16, 1746- IN16, 1746- OVP16, 1746- OV16, 1746- OPB8, 1746- OPB16, 1746- OB16, and the 1746- IV16 DC I/O modules. Removable terminal blocks are color-coded, and each color helps the user to find the recommended I/O module to be used with each RTB. The 1746-RT25B has self-lifting pressure plates on its contacts for wiring security. The RTB contacts have separating walls on 3 sides. This reduces chances of shorting the wires accidentally when wiring.
The 1746-RT25B has a total of 18 terminals and 16 I/O points. The module is ROSTECHNADZOR and KC-certified. The 1746-RT25B has gold-plated contacts. Gold plating reduces the degradation rate and oxidation and it increases the conductivity of the contacts because gold has a reaction rate close to 0. The 1746-RT25B operates optimally at temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The 1746-RT25B removable terminal block does not need to be rewired when replacing I/O modules.
The 1746-RT25B is meant to be mounted on the 1746 chassis. The RTB should not be wired or removed when there is an active power supply in the chassis. Using the wrong I/O module with the 1746-RT25B will cause circuitry damage to the module the moment power is applied on 1746-RT25B RTB. Caution should be taken when tightening the 1746-RT25B release screws to avoid cracking. The release screws can only accommodate a torque of 0.7-0.9 maximum.
