Other Available Revisions for the 1746-QV 1746-QV//A
The Allen-Bradley 1746-QV is a Velocity Control Module of the SLC 500 series. This module controls the speed and placement of a hydraulic ram. The 1746-QV can accept an input from a linear displacement transducer (LDT). Compatible LDT input devices include Balluff BTL-2-L2 or -M2, Gemco Quick-Stick II, Temposonics II with DPM or RPM, and Santest GYRP or GYRG. The outputs vary between -10V dc and 10V dc. The velocity control module receives information from the SLC processor instructing when and how much to the hydraulic motion should accelerate or decelerate. The benefits of the 1746-QV include reduced cycle time, energy savings, smoother operations and faster change-over of new parts by storing setups to minimize re-adjustments. Users can also program accelerations and decelerations of the hydraulic ram to result in less damaging operation on the machine.
Users have the ability to program up to seven different voltages for both the extend and retract profiles which determine how much the ram accelerates/decelerates. Some of the applications for the 1746-QV include but are not limited to hydraulic machinery, welder placement, and diecasting machinery. Additionally, the 1746-QV can support standard proportional amplifiers and be used in most existing hydraulic systems. The module features LED indicators to determine if the system is running or faulty. The 1746-QV backplane power requirements are 215 mA at 5V dc and 400 mA at 15V dc. Operating temperatures for the 1746-QV range between 0-60 degrees Celsius (32-140 degrees Fahrenheit) and storage temperatures should be between -40-85 degrees Celsius (-40-185 degrees Fahrenheit) at 5-95% relative humidity without condensation.
