Other Available Revisions for the 1746-NO8V 1746-NO8V//A
The 1746-NO8V is an analog output module with eight (8) voltage outputs and a resolution of 16 bits. Its channels can be configured at an individual level. It has a voltage category of between -10 and 10 Volts DC, consumes a backplane current of 120 mA at 5 Volts and 160 mA at 24 Volts, has a backplane power consumption rating of 6.6 Watts, a minimum thermal dissipation of 1.98 Watts and a maximum thermal dissipation of 4.44 Watts. It has a tested voltage isolation of 500 Volts DC.
With a +/- 10.25 Volt DC output and a proportionally scaled output coding of between -32768 and 31767, it has a non-linearity of 0.06% of full scale with a R-2R ladder method conversion method (DAC). It has a 1 millisecond step response, taking 5 or 10 milliseconds to update all channels in ether class 1 or class 3 respectively.
The 1746-NO8V has a load range of more than 1 kΩ, a maximum load current of 10 mA, and an output resistance of <1.0Ω.
The 1746-NO8V has a +/- 10.25 over-range ability, an overall accuracy of 0.1% full scale at 25 degrees Celsius and 0.2% full scale at 60 degrees Celsius, and an accuracy drift (overall) of +/- 33 ppm per degree Celsius (full scale, maximum). It has a 0.08% gain error at 25 degrees Celsius which is 0.15% at 60 degrees Celsius full scale, a maximum of +/- 25 ppm per degree Celsius of full scale gain error drift, and is factory calibrated. To select the power source for this module, whether from the backplane or from external sources, the j4 jumper is used.

The 1746-NO8V module is an analog module with 8 outputs that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley in the SLC 500 series. All 8 of its outputs are voltage outputs, and the voltage level of each output can be adjusted individually. All 8 of the outputs on the 1746-NO8V module have 16-bit resolution, and this module supports 500 Volts DC of isolation between the backplane and the field wiring. This module does not have DIP switches. The module’s rated backplane current consumption is 160 milliamps at 24 Volts DC and 120 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. During operation, the 1746-NO8V output module dissipates between 1.98 and 4.44 Watts of energy as heat.
The Allen-Bradley SLC 500 1746-NO8V output module can operate in voltage ranges of +/-10 Volts DC, 1 to 5 Volts DC, 0 to 5 Volts DC, and 0 to 10 Volts DC. It supports programmable data limits as a safety feature. The 1746-NO8V output module is factory-calibrated. It can support up to two 14 to 24 AWG wires. The 1746-NO8V analog output module meets the NEMA ICS 2-230 standard for noise immunity, making it suitable for reliable operation in standard industrial environments without interference from electrical noise. Its specified operating temperature range is 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 60 degrees Celsius) and its specified storage temperature range is -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 to 85 degrees Celsius). Its specified non-condensing relative humidity range is 5 to 95% for both operation and storage. During operation, the 1746-NO8V output module can tolerate up to 30 G of shock.
The Allen-Bradley SLC 500 1746-NO8V analog output module has 8 output modules which are voltage outputs that can be individually adjusted. It uses DC voltage to operate.
