The Allen-Bradley 1746-NO4V SLC 500 Analog Output Module is a 4-channel analog output module that has been designed for the SLC 500 PLC series. This analog output module provides 4 non-isolated analog voltage output channels that are capable of operating within a -/+10 Volts DC signal range and it is suitable for a wide variety of control and monitoring applications. The 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module utilizes 5 Volts DC or 24 Volts DC backplane power, and it also has connection terminals for an external user-supplied 24 Volts DC power supply to drive outputs. When the 24 Volts DC user-supplied power is connected, the 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module only draws 5 Volts DC power from the backplane bus. It has 55 milliamps of maximum backplane current draw at 5 Volts DC bus backplane voltage and 145 milliamps at 24 Volts DC.
 

The 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module is designed to interface -10 Volts DC to +10 Volts DC rated analog signals. It converts digital signals from the CPU to analog values for analog field output devices by using a 14-bit R-2R ladder converter. The 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module has 4 non-isolated analog -/+10 Volts DC inputs arranged in a single group with a single common. The 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module has up to 500 Volts AC isolation between the output channels and backplane for 60 seconds. Each output point has an overall accuracy of +/-0.208% of the full scale at 25 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. The 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module outputs also have +/-54 ppm per degree Celsius (of the full scale) of overall accuracy drift. The 1746-NO4V Analog Output Module has a maximum power dissipation rating of 3.78 Watts and a rated operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.
