Other Available Revisions for the 1746-IO4 1746-IO4//A
The 1746-IO4 is an SLC 500 digital input/output combination module by Allen Bradley. It has a 120 Volt AC input with relay contact outputs, all on one module. With 2 points per common, 2 input points that are 120 Volt AC and 2 output points that are 100 to 120 Volts AC, input operation takes place at 85 to 132 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz while outputs are operational in a 5 to 265 Volt range at 47 to 63 Hertz or 5 to 125 Volts DC.
The 1746-IO4 has a backplane current consumption of 30 mA at 5 Volts DC and 25 mA at 24 Volts DC. Its continuous current is around 4.0 A. It has 0.133 Watts per output point and 0.27 Watts per input point, with thermal dissipation occurring at a minimum of 0.75 Watts and a maximum of 1.60 Watts. This module receives its input power from a separately routed cable. It is equipped with a self-lifting plate that receives 2 cables.
It is important for the user to check periodically for degradation of the sealing properties on this module, in order to ensure the best possible functioning system. The module may be degraded if it is exposed to K1 and K2 chemicals; in the case that degradation is found, it is recommended to change the module out completely. The 1746-IO4 meets the industry standard to provide 1500 Volts AC of dielectric withstand, 500 Volts DC isolation between communication circuits and 1500 Volts AC isolation between the backplane and the input/output points. It is available in Series A through D.
