Allen-Bradley's 1745-LP151 is a programmable controller unit (PLC) of the SLC 150 series, and this controller features 12 output terminals and 20 input terminals, as well as an 85-132V AC power range and CMOS RAM. The 1745-LP151 also has a voltage range of 85-132/170-265V AC at a 50/60 hertz rated frequency. Its inputs and outputs include twenty (20) 85-132V AC sinking inputs, ten (10) 85-265V AC TRIAC outputs, and two (2) 10-250V AC (10-125V DC) hard contact relay outputs. The 1745-LP151 has two backups: a battery backup that can be selected and a capacitor backup that is standard. Its processing unit can count high-speed input signals at rates of up to 5kHz (kilohertz) using a high-speed input (HSI) module. Each linked unit can be tallied using up to four high-speed input devices. The DIP switches on the module allow users to set the input voltage levels and filter delay durations. The vibration of 0.015-inch peak to peak displacement is 2.5g peak acceleration on 1Hr/axis with a user memory size of 1200 words. The operational temperature range of the 1745-LP151 is 32-140°F, while the storage temperature range is -40-185°F. The ribbon cable connects the 1745-LP151 expansion unit to the processor unit and other expansion units. Additional extensions can be built to bring the PLC's I/O count up to 112. This PLC includes LED status indications such as DC power, CPU fault, battery low, and forced I/O. It also includes AC line input protection and an input power fuse chamber. This fuse can be changed in the field. The 1745-LP151 is a popular choice for PLC applications since it is simple to use, dependable, and reasonably priced.
