Eaton Cutler-Hammer's S801T24N3S is a high-performance, multipurpose soft starter from the S801 series of reduced voltage soft starts. It is designed to manage the acceleration and deceleration of three-phase motors in industrial applications. This soft starter has a very compact form that enables simple setup, making it easy to retrofit into an existing motor control enclosure, lowering replacement costs. The S801T24N3S soft starter features a maximum carrying current of 240 amps, an operating voltage range of 200 to 600 volts alternating current (AC), and a standard duty output power rating of 125 HP. It includes a programmed overload range of 30 to 100% of rated current and a 660 volts AC insulation voltage rating. The S801T24N3S soft starter consists of a variety of factory default protections, including over-temperature protection to prevent the device from overheating, shorted SCR detection to detect shorted SCRs, and soft stop functionality to allow for controlled stopping when a high-friction load is present. The S801T24N3S soft starter also contains user-selectable features such as stall protection, jam protection, and phase loss protection, which allows the device to trip if any of the phases loses voltage. The S801T24N3S soft starter includes a 3-pole design and a control voltage of 24 volts DC for increased operator safety. This soft starter can be installed or retrofitted into an enclosure using mounting plates, and it comes with a factory-supplied lead lug kit for simple field wiring. The operational temperature range of the S801T24N3S soft starter is -30 to 50 degrees Celsius, while the storage temperature range is -50 to 70 degrees Celsius.
