The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 20P-RES-GEF-A0 resolver feedback module was manufactured by Allen-Bradley as an optional module for drives from the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex DC series. This resolver feedback module contains 2 boards that are designed to be installed in a PowerFlex DC drive. One of the boards in the 20P-RES-GEF-A0 resolver feedback module is a resolver interface board, while the other board is a resolver feedback board. When the 20P-RES-GEF-A0 resolver feedback module has been installed in a PowerFlex DC drive, power must be removed from the drive first. After the power has been removed, the drive must be opened, the resolver feedback board and resolver interface board must be installed and wired, and the protective covers that were removed must be replaced. After the 2 boards are installed and wired and protective covers have been replaced, the 20P-RES-GEF-A0 module can be configured. Both the interface and feedback boards come with connectors, and both boards must be installed with the correct torque. The 20P-RES-GEF-A0 module’s resolver interface board and its resolver feedback board both have a tightening torque rating of 0.7 Nm. The resolver interface board and resolver feedback board connect to each other through stacker connectors and P2 and P3 connectors. The long pins on the stacker connectors are compatible with the P2 and P3 connectors on the resolver feedback board, and the short pins on the stacker connectors are compatible with the P2 and P3 connectors on the resolver interface board. The 20P-RES-GEF-A0 resolver feedback module supports terminal blocks for wiring. Like the PowerFlex DC drive that hosts it, the 20P-RES-GEF-A0 module can operate at temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius in most applications.
