PowerFlex 70

The PowerFlex 70 series is a series of adjustable frequency AC drives manufactured by Allen-Bradley. Each PowerFlex 70 adjustable frequency AC drive comes with several parameters which the operators must select and program before the drive can be used. These parameters can be programmed easily through several methods, such as an LCD or LED type of human-machine interface or HMI. Some of the PowerFlex 70 series drives include HMI modules, and drives that do not include HMI modules can be connected to different types of optional HMI modules. The PowerFlex 70 series drives support standard and enhanced control options. The standard control option includes sensorless vector operation and Volts/Hertz operation while the enhanced control option includes an FVC vector control feature and several other advanced control options. The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 70 series adjustable frequency drives are all powered by 3-phase AC voltage and they are available with voltage ratings of 240V AC, 400V AC, 480V AC, or 600V AC. These drives also support frequency ratings of 50 to 60 Hertz and a variety of current ratings and normal duty output power ratings. Some of the PowerFlex 70 series drives come with filters for emissions and with brake IGBT features. The PowerFlex 70 series drives also support different enclosures that have different ingress protection ratings and that support different mounting options. The frame sizes supported by the PowerFlex 70 drives include sizes A, B, C, D, and E. Some PowerFlex 70 drives have no communication slots while others have a Devicenet slot, an Ethernet/IP slot, or a coaxial ControlNet slot.
