The 25B-B032N104 drive unit from PowerFlex 525 line is an AC drive known as a variable frequency drive (VFD) or variable speed drive (VSD). It offers solutions for implementing basic and sophisticated motor controls, implements basic motor commands, and modulates speed control. In addition to speed control, this can also be used in applications where variable torque is required. Through the variety of programmable control methods supported by the 25B-B032N104, including sensorless vector control, economizer SVC motor control, sinusoidal pulse width modulation (PWM), volts/hertz, surface mount, closed loop velocity vector control, interior permanent magnet motor (without encoder), interior permanent magnet motor (with encoder), this drive is able to provide user and process-specific control. This drive can be utilized in numerous methods using its built-in keypad and LCD display. This component is also known as the human interface module (HIM). With its embedded input and output channels, it includes seven (7) sink/source discrete inputs, one normally open (N.O)., one (1) normally closed (N.C.) contacts, two (2) digital / optocoupler discrete outputs, two (2) 0-10VDC; 0-20 milliamps (mA), analog inputs and one (1) 0-10VDC; 0-20mA analog output. External signaling devices are connected to these specific input channels and linked to a parameter that controls the operation of the drive. It includes a built-in brake transistor and is rated for 3-phase, 240 volts AC input voltage. In addition, this standard interface module has frame D and it lacks an EMC filtering option; it has 32 amps rated output current and an IP20 class, or NEMA open type enclosure.
