The 25B-A4P8N114 PowerFlex AC drive, part of Allen-Bradley's PowerFlex 40P family, offers versatile motor control options, including volts per hertz control, sensorless vector control, closed-loop velocity control, and permanent magnet motor control. Featuring various I/O terminals, including two analog inputs, seven digital inputs, one analog output, and two relay outputs along with opto outputs, this drive ensures precise control and monitoring capabilities. Communication is made easy with embedded Ethernet IP and integral RS485 ports, supporting options like Dual-port Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, ProfiBus DP, and DSI communication. Optimized for common DC bus installation, it efficiently absorbs energy from connected drives for additional braking. This drive operates on a single-phase 240 Volts AC input voltage, delivering a maximum output current of 4.8 Amps. Its IP20 NEMA enclosure provides protection against environmental factors, and an EMC filter guards against electromagnetic interference. Operating in ambient temperatures ranging from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius with non-condensing relative humidity between 5% and 95%, it must be installed with proper mounting clearances to maintain temperature control. Vent protection ensures debris does not interfere with the drive's operation. With PointStop capability, a proprietary Allen-Bradley technology, it allows consistent positioning without encoder feedback, making it suitable for applications requiring precise positioning control. Additionally, it supports closed-loop feedback with an optional encoder card and point-to-point positioning mode. The integral keypad allows for local control commands such as START, STOP, JOG, and frequency adjustments, as well as inverter parameter configuration. An LCD display provides parameter readouts, drive diagnostics, and error displays. With seven discrete inputs, one N.O., one N.C. contacts relay outputs, two digital/optocoupler discrete outputs, two 0-10VDC, and 0-20mA analog inputs, plus one 0-10VDC, and 0-20mA analog output, the I/O terminals enable the connection of hardwired signals for local and remote operation. This drive, equipped with integral RS485 and Ethernet I/P communication ports, is designed for efficient AC motor operation, incorporating speed control and embedded control methods, enhancing automation system efficiency.
