Other Available Revisions for the PLC-5-60 PLC-5-60//A
The PLC-5-60 is a standard enhanced PLC-5 programmable controller from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The controller is supplied as a controller bearing the 1785-L60B catalog number. The PLC-5-60 has a user memory capacity of 64K words. The maximum total number of I/O for the PLC-5-60 stands at 3072 I/O. Communication to and from the module is done through 4 Data Highway plus (DH+) ports found on the module and a universal remote I/O. When a universal remote I/O link is used, the PLC-5-60 supports a maximum of 32 I/O chassis per each I/O link.
The current rating for the PLC-5-60 is 3.3 Amps which is drawn from the backplane at 5 Volts. As with other PLC-5 controllers, the PLC-5-60 conforms to the EN-50081-2 and EN-50082-2 electromagnetic compatibilities in industrial environments that have a generic emission standard, part two. When installing the PLC-5-60, the power supply should be turned on to prevent the occurrence of a processor fault or the memory from losing its contents. To prevent accidental writing from being performed on the PLC-5-60, the controller is supplied with a write protection jumper which is removable once the programing is done. Once removed, the PLC-5-60 cannot recognize any programming attempts unless the jumper is fitted back in the PLC-5-60 processor. The controller occupies a single leftmost slot in the I/O chassis. Additionally, the PLC-5-60 uses a 1770-XYC battery which performs at its best within a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius. When the low-battery LED indicator lights up, the battery can power the PLC-5-60 for an additional 5 days.
