The Allen-Bradley PLC-5-20E Ethernet PLC-5 Programmable controller, is a programmable Ethernet/IP processor module from the PLC-5 Programmable controller system, which supports the TCP/IP communication protocol option, and provides centralized control of all system-connected components. This processor has 16 Kilo Words of user memory, with a battery-backed S-RAM, and it supports EEPROM user program backup memory modules (1785-ME16, -ME32, -ME64, and -M100). The PLC-5-20E has a maximum I/O capability of I/O, with a maximum I/O chassis capacity of 13, and it has a maximum I/O scan time of 3 milliseconds at 230.4 Kilo-bits speed. The PLC-5-20E is installed on the left-most slot of the 1771 I/O chassis, and it draws 3.6 Amps backplane current at 5 Volts DC, and it has a rated maximum power dissipation of 19W.
It is compatible with the 1771 8-point, 16-point, and 32-point I/O modules, and it has 3 standard I/O addressing configurations selectable between ½, 1, and 2-slot configuration.
