Other Available Revisions for the PLC-5-11 PLC-5-11//A
The PLC-5-11 is a PLC5 1785-L11B standard processor belonging to 1785-L11B Series C line manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The Allen-Bradley PLC-5-11 features a built in-port which can be connected for Data Highway Plus (DH+) or remote I/O connections. The Allen-Bradley PLC-5-11 operates in a 0 to 60 degrees Celsius temperature range, at 5% to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing, operating shock of 30g (3 pulses, 11 milliseconds). The Allen-Bradley PLC-5-11 constitutes a radiated RF immunity of 10 V/m with 1 kHz sine wave 80% AM from 30 to 2000 MHz and a 1 V/m with 1kHz sine wave 80% AM from 2000 to 2700MHz. Its maximum operating memory words is 8K. The PLC-5-11 enhances the use of 1785-RC relay cartridge which acts as an interface from the controller to a user-supplied external gadget like an Allen-Bradley 700P relay. The enhanced PLC-5-11 controls online ladder program edits and I/O forcing activity when is in the running mode. When they are detected, the enhanced PLC-5-11 controllers open the relay on the relay cartridge in one second. Both the PLC-5-11 controller and I/O modules should be directly attached to one network for the PLC-5-11 controller to monitor the I/O modules.
When using a PLC-5-11 controller channel as a remote I/O scanner, first reset a remote I/O channel for a scanner mode so that it will read and write I/O information between the PLC-5-11 controller and an I/O device that is remotely placed from the controller. When the PLC-5-11 controller is configured for scanner mode, it acts as the supervisory controller for other controllers in the adapter mode and also as remote I/O adapter modules. While it is in the scanner mode, it is capable of collecting data from node adapter devices in remote I/O racks, processing I/O data from 32-point I/O modules, addressing 1/2- slot I/O groups, boosting block transfer in any I/O chassis. The Allen Bradley PLC-5-11 programmable controller channels when in adapter mode, it does not require ladder logic in adapter controllers for block transfer instructions. Isolate the programmable controller system from plant walls and other gadgets to allow convection cooling. Electrostatic discharge may limit performance or destroy the controller. To prevent this; put on a recommended wrist strap grounding device when operating the controller, touch a grounded object to get discharged before handling the controller and finally don’t touch the connector pins. The Allen-Bradley PLC-5-11 supports 2000 program files, allowing more SFC steps in the program. It transfers discrete and block transfer data with the controller-resident. It consists of a track address of 1 to 3 octal. It requires a 1771 chassis to contain the various modules. The backplane provides a communication path between the I/O module and the I/O adapter module or the controller.
