The 1785-V30B is an authentic Allen-Bradley programmable logic controller. The module, which belongs to the enhanced PLC-5 processors series, shares similar features and specifications with the PLC-5 processors. In addition, the 1785-V30B is compliant with all the explicit C.1 VMEbus specs. What this means is that users can connect the 1785-V30B to the VMEbus system using the VMEbus chassis. Plus, the 1785-V30B comes with an integrated VMEbus system-based communication interface that has been designed to be used with other similar VMEbus CPU modules. This interface aids communication between VMEbus I/O modules. It is also important to note that the 1785-V30B does not have an EEPROM module, but it does come with a user memory that can comfortably accommodate 32,000 words. Also, the memory is capable of supporting 896 inputs/outputs (which can be in any combination). Thus, users can arrange these inputs/outputs in complementary combinations or 896 inputs or 896 outputs. Moreover, this Allen-Bradley module can support 896 analog signals. The 1785-V30B‘s program scan time varies from two milliseconds for every 1,000 words—which is common, or 0.5 milliseconds for every 1,000 words, which can be used bit logic.
