The Allen-Bradley 1785-L60L is an enhanced-series controller module which is compatible with PLC-5 programmable controllers. The 1785-L60L occupies one slot in the 1771 I/O chassis. The size of the memory supported for user applications is 64000 words. The module can support 3072 I/O, which can include either 3072 I/O in any combination or with 3072 inputs or 3072 outputs. A total of 24 I/O racks are supported by the 1785-L60L and a maximum of 81 chassis (including 1 local, 16 local extension, and 64 remote chassis) are supported. The integrated communication ports on the 1785-L60L include the following: one serial port which is compatible with the RS-422A system and it can be configured for either the RS-232 or RS-423 systems, and two DH+/Remote I/O which can be configured for either adapter or scanner modes. A keyswitch on the module selects between the Program, Run and Remote modes.
The current consumption of the 1785-L60L controller module is 3.3 Amps at 5 Volts DC. The life of the module battery at 50% power is 1.2 years at 25 degrees Celsius and 150 days at 60 degrees Celsius.
