The 1785-L46C15 belongs to the PLC 5 series of controllers and which is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The PLC 5 or 46C controller works with the network to seamlessly connect devices to the PLC 5, which allows the users to control other associated devices. This device is equipped with a ControlNet I/O status indicator and a ControlNet network access port (RJ 45) which allows the 1785-L46C15 to easily connect to Ethernet, ControlNet, IP, or any other trusted third-party networks. It has 4 channels that are set by default with a DH+ 3 pin, a remote I/O scanner, a remote I/O adapter, and an unused port. The 1785-L46C15 contains a lithium battery, a DIN connector cover, terminating resistors rated at 150 ohms, and 147 CP7 cable adapters.
The 1785-L46C15 has an estimated battery lifetime of 185 days when operated at 60 degrees Celsius and 50% battery power. If the device is operated at 100% power, the 1785-L46C15 gives a battery backup for 92.5 days with a duration up to 38 hours. Whereas when the device functions at 25 degrees Celsius, the battery function significantly improves with the battery time of 1.25 years. At 50% power, the battery life goes up to 2.5 years and the battery duration 10.8 days.
