The 1785-L46B is a PLC-5 series controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This controller is at the forefront of the controlling architecture by bringing together systems with the help of the Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet or IP network. The 1785-L46B can be used to connect with ControlLogix controllers, MicroLogix controllers, SLC 500 controllers, and so on. This is one of the Protected PLC-5 controllers. The 1785-L46B is designed to have a memory of 48K SRAM. The maximum I/O that is expected is 2048 any mix or 2048 inputs and 2048 outputs (complementary). This controller functions properly at a backplane current of 3.3 Amps with a power of 17.3W. The number of I/O Chassis that can be supported by the 1785-L46B can vary. It has a total of 62 I/O chassis while the extended amount is 0. Up to 32 Remote I/O are supported but no ControlNet I/O are supported.
