The Allen-Bradley 1785-BCM is a dependable backup module. The 1785-BCM provides high-speed communication transfers between two PLC-5 (Programmable Logic Controller) processors and it provides data backup protection in case there is a power or system failure. Compatible with both 5/60 and 5/80 PLC-5 processors, the module is positioned inside the 1771 I/O chassis, placed in a single slot. The average power consumption at 5 Volts DC is 1 Amps backplane current. The input capability for the device is 32-bit that supports the PLC-5 processors in the image table. The 1785-BCM’s switch assembly comprises 4 switches that are set up in different positions.
For connectivity with another device, the 1785-BCM utilizes the 1771-CD connector cable that features DH+ and Remote I/O capabilities.
