The 1784-KTCX is one of the best models in the series of ControlNet Communication Interface Cards manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is used for direct electronic communication in Allen-Bradley ControlNet devices, this device supports both 16-bit ISA and 32-bit ISA compatible computers. The advantage of using this device comes from streamlining multiple network benefits like peer-to-peer messaging, PLC Interlocking, and I/O under one link. To connect the ControlNet Network devices with the programming terminals, the 1784-KTCX uses a Network Access Port with an RJ-45 connector that uses the 17860CP cable with an RJ-458 pin connector. For direct communication with the ControlNet Network, the device utilizes 2 redundancy media BNC connectors.
For the device to properly function, the required temperature range is between 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. When not in operation, the ideal storage temperature for the device is –40 to 85 degrees C. The 1784-KTCX is a highly durable apparatus with a long device lifespan. The device can constantly operate at a continuous 2G vibration frequency and has an absorption limit of up to 30G (peak/11 milliseconds) of operational shock and up to 50G of non-operational shock. When the part is sent out, a field wiring arm is provided with the 1771-WN for attachment purpose that comes with a category number. The dimension of the product is 4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches (115 x 317 x 160 millimeters) weighing at 0.3 pounds. The module output connection spec is 62-pin D-Shell. The 1784-KTCX is both CSA certified and UL listed.
