The Allen-Bradley 1771-NC15 cable is a high-resolution isolated cable of the Allen-Bradley analog cable series. The 1771-NC15 cable is used to connect Remote Terminal Panels (also known as RTPs) to any of the analog I/O modules of the Allen-Bradley 1771-N series produced by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The 1771-NC15 cables are prefabricated right from the factory and they are useful while connecting the RTPs to the I/O modules. The normal length of these 1771-NC15 cables is 15 feet or 4.6 meters. During the connection process, the 1771-NC15 cables are attached to 25-pin connectors on both ends and they are mostly recommended for use while connecting the RTPs to the 1771-N series modules that have 4 channels or 8 channels. While connecting to a 4-channel 1771-N series module, only one 1771-NC15 cable is needed. But two are required while connecting RTPs to a 1771-N series module with 8 channels.
The 1771-NC15 cables weighs 0.5 kilograms and they provide the 1771-N series modules with 2 current outputs while they are in use. The 1771-NC15 cables also support modules with an output resolution of 0-25 mA and that use the Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 module on the voltage-in or the current-in functions. The 1771-N series module that use the 1771-NC15 cable draws 1.8 Amps of backplane current and have a rack mountable design. The 1771-N series modules also have a typical signal delay of 50 milliseconds on DC voltage and a delay time range of 30 to 60 milliseconds on AC voltage. The 1771-NC15 cable is compatible with the 1771-RTP1, 1771-RTP2, 1771-RTP4, 1771-RT41 and 1771-RT44 modules.
