Other Available Revisions for the 1771-WI 1771-WI//A
The 1771-WI is a PLC-5 Thermocouple wiring arm manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This is a hardware component, which has eighteen terminals, is shipped with the high-resolution thermocouple I/O modules/millivolt, and it is located on the bottom of the 1771 I/O chassis. These terminals offer connection points for the inputs and outputs of the modules that are connected to it. This module features a maximum I/O connection capacity of 8 modules. The 1771-WI gives easy and convenient linkage between chassis wiring and the high-resolution thermocouple I/O modules. It uses a 14-gauge stranded wire size with 3/64 inches thick insulation. These act as base conductors and it features a gold conformal coating.
The 1771-WI is used in high-resolution thermocouple applications and it is not fused. Its optimum field-arm screw torque is 7 by 9 pounds on an inch and its weight is approximately 0.3 pounds or 0.1 kilograms. Wiring arms usually provide an easy and flexible interconnection between plant wiring and 1771 I/O modules. The integral I/O chassis clamp offers a swing-away operation that facilitates easy module access. An integral module-locking tab aids in ensuring connection integrity. Constructed of an industrial-grade thermoplastic, each wiring arm consists of one connection point for each required input or output to the module and any needed ancillary connection points for line or signal input. Incoming wires may be clamped directly or spade-lugged to the arm. The 1771-WI provides fuse protection for each output of a module and this eases fuse replacement without a module removal from the chassis. During installation, users can replace fuses by removing individual fuse holders without the removal of the output module.
