The 1771-WC PLC-5 field wiring arm from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation serves as an easy and a flexible solution for establishing a connection between I/O modules and plant wiring. Besides that, the wiring arm from Allen-Bradley will ensure the high integrity of a connection for 1771 industrial devices. The 1771 module falls under a sink or source load voltage category and it requires a 5 to 30 Volts operating voltage. Also, the module features a backplane current load of 150 milliamps. The wiring arm is designed for the 1771-IQ digital DC input module and it only occupies one slot. In regard to applications, this module is used for source or sink input signal termination when time is of critical importance. The 1771-WC wiring arm has a typical AC signal delay (off) value of 29 (+/- 8) milliseconds and a typical DC signal delay (off) value of 30 (+/- 7) milliseconds.
The Allen-Bradley 1771-WC wiring arm supports eight inputs/connection points and ten terminals, all with gold contact plating. The wiring arm features a 7 to 9 pounds-on-an-inch screw torque and it is made from a thermoplastic material for better resistance and protection in an industrial environment. In general, this wiring arm does not require an external power source and it is specially coated for additional protection. The type of coating typical for this type of wiring arm is a conformal coating. In regard to all incoming wires (with a maximum gauge of AWG 14), they are directly clamped or spade lugged to the wiring arm. The 1771-WC wiring arm weighs only 100 grams or 0.2 pounds and it has an approximate dimensions of 114.3 millimeters (4.5 inches) x 314.9 millimeters (12.4 inches) x 160 millimeters (6.3 inches).
