The Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 is a remote termination panel which is used to make the connection of the module to the rest of the field wiring easy. This panel belongs to the 1771 series of I/O AC and DC modules and it is designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 remote termination panel is basically composed of a block for general use with straight wiring that can be used in a wide range of applications, excluding those with thermocouples, unless there is a method or junction compensation provided at the interface of the thermocouple, including copper wires within the system.
The Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 remote termination panel is designed to be mounted on a standard DIN 1 or DIN 3 mounting rails, a wiring arm might be required in order to provide mobility without the need of removing wires. Connecting this panel through wiring arms is an exceptional choice because the panel can be connected without disconnecting all the connections. The Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 remote termination panel does not feature any enclosure, by being an open panel, it can withstand an operating temperature of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 0 to 95% without condensation. The Allen-Bradley 1771-RTP4 remote termination panel can be used with 8 input modules and it can be installed through two 8-meter cables or two 4.6-meter cables and it is recommended for use with voltage modules. The importance of this panel is that it simplifies connections from the module to outer devices.
