The Allen-Bradley 1771-PSCC is a Connecting Cable for PLC-5 systems. It is designed to be used as a connection between an I/O rack and power supply module (or power supply chassis). The 1771-PSCC cable is compatible with 1771-PS7 power supply modules and with 1771-PSC power supply chassis. The 1771-PSCC is delivered as a set that contains the connecting cable and a plastic bag with 2 screws and 2 cable ties. When unpacking this module, only verify which cable plug goes into the I/O rack and which one goes into the power supply module (or power supply chassis). One screw provided along with a cable tie is intended to deliver strain relief for the weight of the cable near to the rack backplane connecting point. This connecting point is the first place where the cable is secured. The second place is up to the the user to select. The cable can be secured at the power supply connecting point or somewhere else in the panel, where appropriate.
The Allen-Bradley 1771-PSCC PLC-5 power cable is a portable item. It is a flexible cable and all of its basic ingredients (insulation, shielding, and armoring) are made of the finest materials appropriate to be used in harsh industrial environments. This power supply cable can operate at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. It is designed to withstand 24 Amps of current which is limit current that could be delivered to I/O racks. Connecting the inappropriate power supplies may lead to cable and equipment damage.
