The Allen-Bradley 1771-P7K is an external 120 to 220 Volts AC power supply that is part of the PLC-5 1771 Controller System family. It is a conformal-coated AC power supply with a maximum output current rating of 16 Amps at 5 Volts DC. When used with any adapter module or programmable controller that does not have an internal power supply, the 1771-P7K can boost 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, 1771-A3B1, or 1771-A4B I/O chassis. The 1771-P7K module functions on a nominal input source of 120 Volts AC or 220 Volts AC. For a 97 to 132 Volts AC input voltage range, place the voltage selector button to the 115 Volts AC setting; for 195 to 264 Volts AC range, place the selector button at the 230 Volts AC setting.
The 1771-P7K can work with other PLC-5 processors as well as the Mini PLC-2/02, -2/05, -2/16, and -2/17 processors. But it is not compatible with the 1771-A1, 1771-A2, and 1771-A4 I/O chassis. This power supply has a 5.06 Volts DC ±3.8% output voltage rating with 13.6 millisecond ±2.9 milliseconds power loss time delay. It is a stand-alone power supply that has 108 watts maximum real input power and 176 VA maximum apparent input power. Its maximum Xformer load rating is 270 VA. This power supply uses a 47 to 63 Hertz frequency rating too. It weighs for about 1.9 kilograms or 4.3 pounds and it has dimensions of 115 x 317 x 160 millimeters or 4.5 x 12.4 x 6.3 inches. The 1771-P7K power supply ships with a D-shell connector that powers and connects to the backplane. The conformal coating of the 1771-P7K is composed of polymeric films. This feature helps supplement protection against contaminants and humidity. It also increases the product life and power supply performance.
